Panos Psihas is the owner and manager of Mylopotas Watersports for the past 25 years. Panos founded the business as he is a Windsurfing and water ski enthusiast and wanted to turn his passion into a career.
The business started out with a few simple peddle boats and windsurfing boards. Today it dominates the beach front offering incredible waterski and wakeboarding opportunities for the visitors to Ios on the back of the latest addition to the companies fleet of boats in the form of a bright orange and black mastercraft. As well as every possible tube ride, standup paddleboard, knee boarding, boat tripsand pretty much anything else you can think of.
The business is now run full time by Panos and his wife Maria, today Mylopotas Watersports occupies three locations on the Mylopotas beach and has the more recent addition of a dive center also on the beach front road.
Diving has become popular as a recreational activity on Ios due to the crystal clear waters and with the lack of waves and currents making it ideal for learning . A wreck on the corner of the port is the most popular dive site on the island with an abundance of fish life. The underwater landscape around the island is made even more interesting with the close location of historical volcanic activity. Ios also has stunning cave and wall dive sites to suit all levels and interests.
